GIRL SCOUTS

This year Esther's House OMI sowed seeds with  local Girl Scouts. The group is made up of Daisy™ and soon to be Brownie™ Girl Scout  members.  

On this eventful day, the troop learned and  identified with what it takes to be a good citizen to their communities. The girls also stated their own affirmations of their own positive traits and character.

After which, the group huddled together...and some danced apart...while learning the process of sowing seeds to plant a mini garden.  Here are pictures of the day!

The Food Effect…

"With the soaring prices of everything necessary and the lessening stability of quality over quantity, prompted us to actively move the ground we walk on," chuckles Jacquelyn Berry in a sobering moment.  The visionary director of Esther's House Outreach Ministries Inc (EHOMI), actually rolled up her sleeves and got down to business...in the dirt. And in 2023, Esther's House planted a seed and grew something miraculous,- Esther's Eden!

We were warned of its coming. We suffered its impact. Something positive had to arise from the ravages of Covid. In our small yet unique hunkered-down spaces, seeds of inspiration were planted. Now gardens are springing up city wide.

THE REAL DEAL

As inflationary trends and quality of substance and service continue to reek havoc on world, national and local markets, EHOMI found that home is the best place to example change. Grow MY own food the best possible way.

KNOW! and NO!

With strategic planning, committed teacher-persons and change agents wanted to show our communities and our neighbors that with just a smidgen of green thumbedness, one and all could (in the least way) grow their own vegetables to help subsidize drawstring budgets ...naturally.

St. Thomas the Apostle Father’s Day

FATHER'S DAY WAS A BLESSED EVENT WHEN ESTHER'S HOUSE OMI WAS INVITED TO ASSIST IN THE PREPARATION OF CELEBRATING DADS. GREAT FOOD, AND FANTASTIC FELLOWSHIP WITH NEW AND NOT SO NEW FRIENDSESTHER'S HOUSE OMI WAS INVITED TO ASSIST IN CELEBRATING FATHERS. IT WAS GREAT COMMUNING WITH OUR CHRISTIAN NEIGHBORS AND SOME LIFE LONG FRIENDS. JACQUE GREW UP IN THIS PARISH, AND FOUND IT WONDERFUL COMING HOME!
